IPA Export was founded in 1993 by Heico Thorn under the name International Purchasing Associates. What began as a purchasing and export company has grown into the business known today as IPA Export, supporting hospitality, commercial, and residential projects with purchasing, distribution, project coordination, installation, parts, and service.

Since 1993, IPA Export has also served as an international representative and distributor of commercial equipment and supplies, working with manufacturers and factories throughout the United States and Europe. These long-standing relationships allow us to connect clients with dependable products and solutions for projects across a wide range of industries.

While the company has evolved over the years, the approach has remained consistent: provide clients with knowledgeable, responsive, and personalized support throughout every stage of their project. Service and installation are always available, helping ensure support continues beyond sourcing and delivery.

For more than three decades, Heico Thorn has worked throughout the Caribbean hospitality and commercial markets, helping clients navigate everything from equipment selection and procurement to complex turnkey projects.

His philosophy remains simple: understand the client's needs, provide the right solution, and remain available long after the sale.

Heico Thorn is identified by IPA as President & Owner, and in a 2025 Caribbean Journal interview he emphasized direct client relationships and continued service rather than quick equipment sales.
